Underground London Heathrow
Another option of transport available to travel between Heathrow Airport and London is the Underground, the tube.
PICCADILLY LINE
The Piccadilly line is an affordable travel option between London and all Heathrow terminals.
It provides a cost effective route between Heathrow Airport and London City.
Travel time is around 1 hour until Central London, a good option if you do not carry lot of luggage with you.
UNDERGROUND HEATHROW STATIONS
Passengers will find Underground stations at Terminal 4, Terminal 5 and one for Terminal 2 and 3. The station in Terminal 2 and 3 is between terminals, so it is required a short walk to each of them via a pedestrian walkaway.
SCHEDULE
First departure on 05:12 (05:15 on Sundays), last departure on 23:45 (23:28 on Sundays). There is no night service.
Times depend of the Terminal too, so it is suggested to check always the timetable here.
UNDERGROUND PRICE and tickets
In order to use the underground, passengers will need an Oyster Card. There are machines at every station so it is easy to take one. Passengers can recharge it there too. For more information about the Oyster card, check that section.
All stations are in Travelcard Zone 6. Fares start at 5.50£.
The underground can be used to transfer between terminals too. It is free.
